Ms. Ruby Lu has served as our independent Director since October 2016. She is a venture capitalist investing in technology start-ups in the U.S. and China. Ms. Lu founded Atypical Ven-tures, an early-stage technology venture investment firm, in 2019. In 2006, she co-founded DCM China, a venture capital firm. During her more than 12-year tenure at DCM, she invested in, and served as a board member for, many leading technology companies, including BitAuto Holdings Limited, Ecommerce China Dangdang Inc. and Pactera Technology International Ltd. Prior to joining DCM in 2003, Ms. Lu was a vice president in the investment banking group of technology, media and telecommunications at Goldman Sachs & Co. in Menlo Park, California. She is currently an independent director on the boards of Unilever (NYSE: UL), Uxin Limited (NASDAQ: UXIN) and Volvo Car AB (STO: VOLCAR-B). She also served as an independent director and on the audit committee of iKang Healthcare Group, Inc. and as an independent director and Chairman of the special committee for iDreamSky Technologies Limited before these two companies were taken private, as well as an independent director of Blue City Holdings Limited (NASDAQ: BLCT). Ms. Lu obtained her master of arts from Johns Hopkins University in 1996. She brings to our Board public company board experience as well as extensive financial and global market experience.
